HOW TO SPEAK IN PUBLIC

HOW TO SPEAK IN PUBLIC

PUBLIC SPEAKING:

There are many kinds of public speaking professions we can find in our daily life.
They can be:
  1. Master of Ceremony
  2. Orator / speaker
  3. News Reader
  4. Presenter etc.

What should someone have to be one of the possessions above?
Generally speaking, when people want to be confident to speak in public they should have a great courage or confidence.

How to build such confidence?
It can be practiced since we are young. We should be commonly practicing a speaking in public.
In public, we can use the areas or environment we live in such as home, school, class, and club for practicing and practicing speaking.

In order to get the most out of this course and to get it with rapidity and dispatch, do these four (4) things:

  1. Start this course with a strong and persistent desire.
Enumerate the benefits this training will bring you. Arouse your enthusiasm for it.
Think what it can mean to you financially, socially and in terms of increased influence and leadership. Remember that upon the depth of your desire will depend on the swiftness of your progress.

  1. Prepare.
You can’t feel confident unless you know what you are going to say.

  1. Act confident.
“To feel brave” act as if we were brave, use all of our will to that end, and a courage fit will very likely replace the fit of bears, mean horses and gun-fighters by the method. You can conquer your fear of audiences by taking advantage of this psychological fact.

  1. Practice.
This is the most important point of all. Fear is the result of a lack of confidence; a lack of confidence is the result of not knowing what you can do; and that is caused by a lack of experience. So get a record of successful experience behind you, and your fears will vanish.

Thus, the common proverb “Practice Makes Perfect” is a must we have in our mind.

What should we say in public?

Commonly expressions or utterances are the first place that we have in our brain.

Look at the following expressions to be capable to speak in public.

  1. Appropriate Greetings and Addresses.
Greetings:

Good afternoon / Good day

The following complete example of Speaking in Public by  Malala Yousafzai, the Nobel Peace Prize from Pakistan

Nobel Lecture, December 10, 2014
by Malala Yousafzai

Pakistan.

Bismillah hirrahmanir rahim. In the name of God, the most merciful, the most beneficent.
Your Majesties, Your Royal Highnesses, distinguished members of the Norwegian Nobel Committee,
Dear sisters and brothers, today is a day of great happiness for me. I am humbled that the Nobel Committee has selected me for this precious award.
Thank you to everyone for your continued support and love. Thank you for the letters and cards that I still receive from all around the world. Your kind and encouraging words strengthen and inspire me.
I would like to thank my parents for their unconditional love. Thank you to my father for not clipping my wings and for letting me fly. Thank you to my mother for inspiring me to be patient and to always speak the truth—which we strongly believe is the true message of Islam. And also thank you to all my wonderful teachers, who inspired me to believe in myself and be brave.
I am proud, well in fact, I am very proud to be the first Pashtun, the first Pakistani, and the youngest person to receive this award. Along with that, I am pretty certain that I am also the first recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize who still fights with her younger brothers. I want there to be peace everywhere, but my brothers and I are still working on that.
